Frequently Asked Questions
- Does it need to wait until the coulter is backed up to the sensor before the alarm sounds?
No. The sensor will detect slow flow as well as no flow, as soon as the coulter becomes blocked, the flow of seeds passing the sensor will slow and the alarm will sound.
- Can you have a combination of blockage sensors and counting sensors?
Yes, we recommend 1 counting sensor per meter or a minimum of 8 whichever is greater.
- Can I install the system myself?
Yes. The system is straight-forward to install; we are also very happy to complete the installation for you.
- Will it detect different seeds?
Yes. Choose the correct seed from the drop-down menu, the system can sense seeds as small 1.5mm such as oil seed rape and as large a beans.
- Does it work with ISOBUS?
Yes. However some displays do not automatically switch to the blockage sensor page in the case of an alarm message.
- What is the maximum number of sensors that can be used?
The daisy-chain connection system allows up to 100 sensors.
- What information is required to order a blockage/counting system?
Drill make and model, Number of coulters, Internal diameter of coulter pipes, ISOBUS or non-ISOBUS, Seed counting and blockage or blockage only
